Funding and Expenditures FINANCIAL PARTNERSHIPS PacTrans continues to serve as the USDOT Region 10 University Transportation Center with a total of almost $30 million in funding from the USDOT between our SAFETY-LU (2012), MAP-21 (2014), and FAST ACT (2016) grants. These funds have been applied or scheduled to apply to research, education, workforce development, outreach, and technology transfer efforts in our region. Specifically, PacTrans research focuses on developing data-driven solutions to both the mobility challenges and safety needs of the Pacific Northwest. PacTrans enjoys unprecedented partnerships with private companies, public agencies, and professional societies.
